Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026 Last updated: October 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ApisKB Inc., doing business as Honeycomb (“Honeycomb,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. It covers:

  • our marketing website at honeycomb.be (the “Site”), and
  • the Honeycomb building operating system platform, including the web and mobile applications available at honeycombbuildings.com (the “Platform”).

Together, the Site and the Platform are the “Services.”

Honeycomb is a business-to-business service. We provide the Platform to building owners, property managers, and their tenant organizations (our “Customers”). Customers then invite their own people to use it, such as tenant employees, building staff, and visitors (“Users”).

1. Our role

  • Site visitors and prospects. For information collected through the Site, such as demo requests, contact forms, and analytics, Honeycomb is responsible for the information. In privacy-law terms, we act as the “controller” or “business.”
  • Platform Users. For information we process in the Platform on behalf of a Customer, we generally act as a service provider or processor for that Customer. The Customer’s own privacy notice and our agreement with the Customer govern that processing. If you are a tenant or building user, please direct privacy questions to your building or employer first. We will help them respond.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you give us

  • Demo and contact requests. When you use forms on the Site, we collect your name, work email, phone number, company, role, building or portfolio details, and your message. Newsletter signups collect your email address. We handle these forms ourselves: submissions are stored in a private storage area on our hosting provider (Vercel), our team is notified in Slack, and confirmations and newsletters are sent by email through Resend.
  • Website chat. When you use the chat assistant on the Site, we collect your messages and anything you choose to share, such as your name, email, company, and what you’re interested in. Replies are generated by an AI model from Anthropic. We save each conversation so our team can review it and follow up. If you report a problem, we create a support ticket in Linear with the details. Please don’t share passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive information in the chat.
  • Meeting scheduling. When you book a meeting, Google Calendar collects your name, email, chosen time, and any answers you provide.
  • Account information. When you or your organization sets up a Platform account, we collect your name, email, phone number, organization, building, unit or suite, role, and login credentials.
  • Parking and vehicle information. To provide parking features, we may collect license plate numbers, vehicle make and model, permit or space assignments, parking sessions, visitor validations, and related timestamps.
  • Access, amenity, and communication data. This includes access credentials and access events, amenity bookings, waivers you sign, and messages or content sent through the Platform.
  • Payment information. We process payments for parking and other building services. Honeycomb (ApisKB Inc.) is the merchant of record for these payments. Payment card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We receive limited details from them, such as the card type, the last four digits, the billing ZIP or postal code, and the transaction status.

b. Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site or use the Platform, we and our providers automatically collect:

  • device and browser information, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, referring URLs, and the pages you view;
  • usage and interaction data, such as clicks, scrolls, and session recordings or heatmaps on the Site; and
  • cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

c. Information from others

  • From Customers. A Customer may give us information about Users, such as tenant rosters, unit assignments, and parking allocations.
  • From service providers and integrations. This includes access-control, payment, and property-management systems that a Customer connects to the Platform.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate, and support the Services, including parking, access, amenities, communications, and payments;
  • process transactions and send receipts and service notices;
  • respond to inquiries, schedule demos, and carry out sales and marketing to business contacts;
  • analyze and improve the Site and the Platform, and develop new features;
  • prepare aggregated or de-identified operational reports for Customers, such as occupancy and parking utilization;
  • secure the Services, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as that term is defined under California law.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only as follows:

  • With Customers. For example, building owners and property managers see Platform data about their buildings, and tenant administrators see data about their organization’s Users.
  • With service providers who act on our behalf, including:
    • Vercel (website hosting and delivery, and storage of form submissions and chat transcripts)
    • Resend (email delivery, including form confirmations and newsletters)
    • Slack (internal notifications to our team about form submissions and chats)
    • Anthropic (AI model that powers the Site’s chat assistant)
    • Linear (support tickets created from the Site’s chat and help forms)
    • Google Calendar (meeting scheduling)
    • Google Analytics (Site analytics)
    • Microsoft Clarity (session recordings and heatmaps)
    • PostHog (product and Site analytics)
    • Stripe (payment processing)
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Platform infrastructure)
    • other vendors for support, email delivery, and security
  • For legal reasons. We share information to comply with law or legal process, to protect rights, safety, or property, or to enforce our agreements.
  • In a business transaction. This includes a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

5. Cookies and analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies from Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and PostHog. The chat assistant keeps your current conversation in your browser’s session storage so it follows you from page to page; it’s cleared when you close the tab. We use them to understand how visitors use the Site, to measure our marketing, and to remember your preferences. Clarity may record your mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling to help us improve usability. We take steps to limit the collection of sensitive information through these tools.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described above. For Platform data, that means for as long as our agreement with the relevant Customer requires. We also keep information as needed to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Customer data: unless a longer period is required by law, we delete or de-identify personal information processed for a Customer within 90 days after the relevant customer relationship ends. Prospect and marketing data, such as form submissions, chat transcripts, and Google Calendar bookings, is kept for up to 2 years after our last contact with you. You may ask us to delete prospect and marketing data at any time by emailing info@honeycomb.be.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS with HSTS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your choices and rights

  • Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.

  • Access, correction, and deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

    • access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information;
    • opt out of certain processing; and
    • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

    This includes rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), other U.S. state privacy laws, and Canada’s PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws. To make a request, email info@honeycomb.be. We will verify your identity before acting on a request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf.

  • Platform Users. If we process your information on behalf of a Customer, we may refer your request to that Customer.

9. Where we operate

The Services are intended for users in North America. We are based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the United States. If you use the Services from Canada, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under U.S. law.

10. Children

The Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice.
